Title :
Industrial Energy Efficiency and Trade
-
Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of energy efficiency on export and import of the country's industrial sector by ISIC 4-digit codes. This study has been conducted in the context of various economic theories with regard to available information and statistics. In this study, the export and import of four-digit ISIC codes consisted of 140 industry groups over the period 2009-2015. The results show that export elasticity to efficiency is 10.58% and import elasticity of domestic industries by ISIC four-digit codes is -1.95, and by increasing production efficiency in this group requires less imports or by using more limited production resources, which uses Stochastic Frontier Analysis and Maximum Likelihood Estimation to calculate energy efficiency
