Title :
Tey impact of cooperative learning on students` achievement motivation and verbal behaviors: mediating role of flipped learning
-
Abstract :
Abstract
Introduction: One of the new methods offered for students' learning is flipped learning and cooperative learning. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of coocperative-flipped learning on students` achievement motivation and verbal behaviors.
Methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test design with control group. The statistical population of this study includes all sixth grade elementary school sons in Ghasr-Ghand who are studying in the academic year of 2018-2019. Forty of them (20 experimental group and 20 control group) were selected by available sampling method and were placed in two experimental and control groups. Research tools include the Poursaeidi Achievement Motivation Questionnaire (2014) and the researcher-made questionnaire on verbal behavior.
Results: Data analysis was performed by covariance analysis test. Findings showed that cooperative-Flipped learning affects on students` achievement motivation (P <0.05). Furthermore cooperative-flipped learning affects on students` verbal behaviors (P <0.05).
Conclusions: The results showed that cooperative-flipped learning affects on students` achievement motivation and verbal behaviors. This means that adding flipped learning while implementing coocperative learning enhances students' achievement motivation and verbal behavior.
